Now that the dust has settled and I have got used to the idea that we have indeed sold our house it is a good time to reflect on the whole process of selling the house and your involvement it. Peter, the reason we called you when we decided to sell the house was that you were the person who sold it to us some 17 years ago. At that time we were impressed with your professionalism, your ability to listen to us and how you managed to make us feel when we were buying a home for ourselves and our children. This time, as the vendors, we thought that if you could bring the same skills to sale as you had done previously we would end up with a good result. We are not disappointed! It was a very fair result. Both of you brought your considerable skills and experience to the campaign. I am sure that your early advice and use of a stylist, significantly improved the sale price. In particular your advice about de-clutter and de-personalising the house was very good. The landscaper, the painter and the cleaning team also added significant value, they were good contacts, thank you. Throughout the campaign your communication with us and advice was timely and well thought through and your advice to go to auction proved sound. I'm not sure if you could describe the sale of your house as an enjoyable experience, as you are selling your home and in some sense your memories, but both Tricia and I felt supported and looked after by friends throughout.
