Why should you choose to live in Wallan?

The people here are friendly - most residents have known each other for many years because it was originally settled by three different families (most notably descendants from Tasmania).

The schools are good - even those in surrounding suburbs send their children to Wallan schools. The suburb is safe and peaceful - most of the crime that occurs in Melbourne happens in other parts of the city and almost none in Wallan. It's also very child friendly - very few violent attacks have ever been reported and the public transport system is great; it's not uncommon for parents to let their children walk to school themselves, safely.

Most homes have driveways with enough space for large cars (the average car size is about the same as America's Jeep Cherokee).

There are lots of open spaces for children to enjoy such as parks, playing fields, a lake and an adventure playground.
