Crafted by acclaimed firm DKO Architecture, this boutique collection of considered townhomes is inspired by the naturally rich landscape that encompasses it, as well as the modernist residence that formerly occupied its site. Interiors are effortless, contemporary and encased in a framework of meticulous and functional architecture. Jardine’s external architecture succeeds in being respectful of its site, unique in its appearance and timeless in its appeal – a balance that when achieved, results in faultless design. Low-pitched roofs provide shade and shelter, floating above a strong masonry base. Pairing clean modernist lines with an asymmetrical form, the façade honours the site’s former dwelling while presenting a contemporary aesthetic to the street interface. Bespoke features like the aforementioned bricks and the timber framing around the entrances imbue Jardine with a strong sense of craftsmanship and authenticity; residents return home each day to a home that feels personal and considered. Additionally, artful landscaping allows the building to settle cohesively into its natural surrounds.
